Hi! We’re Transparent Classroom – a software company made by Montessori educators for Montessori educators! Transparent Classroom began in 2012 with the goal of making record keeping easy and fun, and as long as we were doing that, why not share it with parents, too? Our teachers and parents loved it; by the start of 2015, we had 20 other schools using it!
Today, our little experiment has proven successful as a world leader in Montessori online record keeping. The Montessori community has embraced it and has, in turn, taught us what it needs to do. Transparent Classroom now has over 2,500 schools in 89 countries, and we continue to learn and grow and help make Montessori accessible.
Transparent Classroom is a collectively managed, democratic workplace, which means that team members author, propose, and vote on our policies and key decisions. Our growing team currently consists of 13 people with various backgrounds including Montessori educators and administrators, and several developers who enjoy learning more every day about Montessori education. Our collective goal is to further the Montessori movement by supporting teachers and schools as they “follow the child”.
